Hamas official: Israel’s denial of a ground attack on Gaza is to avoid failure

PNN – Osame Hamdan, one of the senior members of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said on Friday night: The occupying enemy says that tonight’s attacks are not an official ground operation against Gaza and these statements are to avoid defeat and avoid domestic public opinion pressure.

According to Pakistan News Network, quoted by Palestinian media, Hamdan stated: Israel announced that tonight’s operation is not the same ground attack that they had planned, and these words are meant to prevent it from being in a difficult situation when the defeat of this regime becomes clear to everyone.

He said: “When the morning comes, the whole world will see the effects of the heroic battle of the resistance fighters in the border strip of the Gaza Strip.”

Hamdan pointed to the action of the Zionist regime to cut off electricity, telephone and internet in Gaza and said that cutting off Gaza’s communication with the outside world is an attempt to cover up the crimes of the occupying enemy, for which there is no one to be held accountable.

This Hamas official clarified: What the enemy did in Gaza tonight was an attempt to show himself victorious.

Zionist media: The first test of Israel’s ground operation failed

Some news sources reported that the ground forces of the Zionist regime entered the northern Gaza Strip.

This is while Daniel Hegari, the spokesman of the Zionist regime’s army, said on Friday night that the ground forces of this regime are expanding their operations in Gaza (Friday).

However, hours later, he also told the American ABC News channel that the ongoing massive operation in Gaza is not an official ground attack on this strip.

On Friday night, the Zionist forces tried to enter the eastern borders of the Gaza Strip from several axes under the cover of heavy and unprecedented airstrikes, and after that very intense clashes with the resistance forces began.

But the advance of the Zionist forces and their tanks was quickly stopped and several tanks were targeted by anti-armor missiles.

Some sources from inside the Gaza Strip reported the withdrawal of the Zionist forces after another failure to enter the Gaza Strip.

The Al-Qassam Battalions, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), also announced that they are currently fighting against the attempts of the Zionist military forces to enter the Beit Hanoun area and the east of the Al-Brij camp, and fierce clashes are ongoing in these areas.
