PNN – Bassem Naim, a leader of the Hamas movement, announced in a speech that the Israeli occupation army has finally accepted the estimates of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip. These statistics show that about 70,000 residents of the strip have lost their lives since the beginning of the war.
Bassem Naeem, pointing out that the enemy army has admitted that this figure does not include the missing who are still buried under the rubble, clarified: According to accurate data from the Ministry of Health, the exact number of deaths from direct fire from the occupying army has reached 71,667 since the beginning of the war until yesterday.
This senior Hamas leadership member strongly criticized the international media’s approach and added: Throughout the months of war and genocide in Gaza, the tools of political hypocrisy and the propaganda apparatus of the West, led by major media outlets such as the BBC, CNN, the New York Times, and Fox News, blindly defended the narrative of the Zionist enemy. This was despite the fact that the Ministry of Health’s statistics had been repeatedly confirmed by international institutions and the United Nations, but Zionist lobbies and vested interests were the main factor behind these lies and misleading public opinion.
Bassem Naeem concluded by emphasizing: We await a frank apology from all these media institutions that participated in the Gaza genocide by covering the news in favor of the criminals and exonerating them. These media outlets must reinstate all employees who were fired for their moral stances in defending Palestinian rights and seriously reconsider their value system, which claims to defend freedom, dignity, and human rights.
