Hamas opposes new Zionist stone-throwing in ceasefire process.
According to Al Jazeera, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that it would agree to the Zionist plan proposed by US envoy to the region, Steve Whittaker, to extend the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire during the holy month of Ramadan if Hamas releases half of the Israeli prisoners.
Mahmoud Mordavi, a senior member of the Hamas movement, while announcing his opposition to the plan, stressed that the recent statement by Netanyahu’s office is an affirmation of the fact that the Zionist occupiers are repeatedly trying to escape from the agreement they themselves signed and continue their deceptions in the process of implementing the ceasefire commitments.
He emphasized that the continuous deceptions of the Zionist regime will not lead to the return of the Zionist prisoners to their homes, but rather, if more pressure is not put on the occupiers to implement their commitments, their suffering and hardship will increase and their lives will be at risk.
Mardavi considered the only way to continue this process to be through the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the beginning of the second phase of negotiations for a permanent ceasefire, a complete withdrawal from Gaza, the reconstruction of the area, and the release of prisoners within the framework of a comprehensive agreement, adding that he insists on implementing this agreement and will not back down from it.
