PNN – In a statement, the Islamic resistance movement Hamas described the US ambassador’s statements to the occupied territories as a sign of Washington’s clear support for the Zionist regime’s colonial projects and warned of its consequences for regional security.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Hamas announced in a statement that the statements of Mike Huckabee, the US ambassador to the occupied territories, in which he supported what he called the “Torah right” of the Zionist regime to expand its dominance in the region, reflect the colonial mentality that dominates the Zionist project.

According to the Shahab News Agency, the statement emphasized that these positions indicate America’s clear support for annexation and hegemony plans and are a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter; something that ignores the sovereignty of the countries of the region and the rights of its peoples.

Hamas also announced that the US ambassador’s support for the geographical expansion of the Zionist regime from the Nile to the Euphrates is a direct threat to Arab and Islamic national security, and shows that the Zionist project is not limited to Palestine, but targets the geography, identity, and stability of the entire region.

The movement emphasized the Palestinian people’s adherence to their national rights, including the right to self-determination and sovereignty over their land and holy sites, and clarified that such statements would not create any legitimacy for the occupation.

Hamas further called on the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries to adopt more decisive positions and, beyond verbal condemnation, to take action to isolate the Zionist regime and confront its plans.

This statement was issued after Mike Huckabee, the US ambassador to Tel Aviv, claimed in a media interview that the Zionist regime has a “religious right” to dominate large parts of the Middle East!

These statements sparked a wave of regional and international reactions.
