Hamas: Vetoing the Security Council resolution by the US is a direct participation in the killing of the Palestinian nation.
Ezzat al-Rashq, a member of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, said that the US veto against the draft resolution of the Security Council, which calls for a ceasefire in Gaza, is an immoral and inhuman position.
A member of the political bureau of the Hamas movement emphasized that Washington’s obstruction in issuing a resolution to stop the war is direct participation with the occupiers in killing the Palestinian nation and committing more crimes of ethnic cleansing.
The United Nations Security Council failed to pass a resolution for a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza after the approval of 13 countries, the opposition and veto of the United States, and the abstention of the United Kingdom.
The US representative at the UN emphasized at the Security Council meeting that Washington does not support requests for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.
The American representative in the Security Council also claimed: We cannot vote for a resolution that does not condemn Hamas terrorism against Israeli civilians!
According to this report, Britain abstained from the draft of this resolution and other members of the council voted in favor of this resolution.
China’s representative in the Security Council said: “We regret that the United States used its veto against a resolution calling for a cease-fire in Gaza despite the continued killing there.”
Criticizing the action of the United States in vetoing the resolution of the United Nations Security Council for a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza, the representative of Russia in the UN Security Council said: The United States once again obstructed the ceasefire in Gaza, and obstructing the ceasefire means the death sentence of the United States for thousands and perhaps tens of thousands of Palestinians.
