Hamas warns about occupation moves against Al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan.
According to the Shehab News Agency, Hamas condemned the occupation’s decision to restrict Palestinian access to Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan.
Hamas announced in a statement: “We condemn the occupation’s plans to restrict access to Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan and call for an increase in the public presence in this holy place and to confront all the enemy’s attempts to invade and impose its control over this holy place.”
The Hamas statement said: “We in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) strongly condemn the recent statements of the occupation’s police and their plans to restrict access to Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan, as this plan will prevent tens of thousands of Palestinian worshippers from performing Friday prayers in this holy place.”
Hamas stated: Such plans and instructions are considered a new escalation against the Palestinian people, their land, and their sanctities and have a dangerous history of violating the freedom of worship in Al-Aqsa Mosque, in addition to being a clear violation of heavenly laws and a provocative act to incite Muslim sentiments and a futile attempt to exert alleged dominance over Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Hamas statement stated: We emphasize that the crimes of the occupiers and their aggressive plans against Al-Aqsa Mosque, as the first Qibla of Muslims and their third Holy Shrine, will never succeed in violating this holy place, changing its identity and hiding its history. Al-Aqsa Mosque is and will remain a completely Islamic place, and the occupiers have no place in it, and the Palestinian people will support it with their blood and lives until it is completely freed from the taint of the occupiers.
Hamas stated: We also warn the occupying regime’s cabinet and hold them fully responsible for the consequences of implementing such instructions. We call on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the international community to take immediate action to confront these blatant crimes of the occupiers against the Al-Aqsa Mosque so that the Palestinian people can perform their religious rituals in the Al-Aqsa Mosque with complete freedom.
The Hamas statement states: We call on the entire patient Palestinian people in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the occupied territories to attend Al-Aqsa Mosque enthusiastically and in large numbers and to observe I’tikaf in this holy place during the month of Ramadan. In addition, we call on them to confront the efforts of the occupiers and extremists who seek to dominate and desecrate the holy place.
