Hamas: We showed great flexibility.
According to the Shahab News Agency, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas announced in a statement that it has recently received and examined many national initiatives and proposals to save Gaza from genocide and systematic destruction at the hands of the criminal and criminal Zionists with the complicity of the West, and in the shadow of the silence and shameful international defeat.
The movement stated in its statement: From the beginning, we have earnestly and sincerely applied all our efforts to organize the internal situation of Palestine, strengthen its unity, and restore credibility to the Palestinian political system. To this end, we have shown the utmost flexibility to reach national agreements; whether the successive agreements in Cairo, in Algeria, or even in Russia and China, and we have seriously tried to implement them.
The statement added: “In recent months, we have cooperated with the efforts of our brothers in the Arab Republic of Egypt and have tried to form a national consensus or technocratic government, and we have responded positively to the initiative of our brothers in Egypt, which enjoyed Arab and Islamic support, to form a social support committee to temporarily manage Gaza affairs, and we have emphasized that its political authority should be the decree of the presidency of the Palestinian Authority.”
The statement added: “We also emphasized that Gaza is an integral part of the political geography of Palestine, and we took important steps with our brothers in the Fatah movement under the supervision of our brothers in Egypt to form this committee, and then we reached important agreements with many forces, groups, personalities, and national activists, and we presented a set of proposed names of individuals with national and professional qualifications to our brothers in Egypt.”
Hamas emphasized: “We hope that our brothers in the Fatah movement and the Palestinian Authority will support the efforts to form a social support committee within the framework of the Palestinian political system and through national consensus and its political legitimacy.”
