PNN – One of Hamas’ leaders, emphasizing the deep-rooted nature of Palestinian resistance, stated that the recognition of the Palestinian state is among the outcomes of the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Osama Hamdan, a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), told Al Jazeera that Hamas represents the historical continuation of decades of Palestinian struggle and has maintained the path of resistance against occupation over the past forty years.
He added: “The recognition of Palestine by countries around the world is one of the fruits of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation.”
Referring to the role of the movement in Palestinian developments, he said: “Since its establishment, Hamas has been an influential force in the Palestinian cause and has always acted with a national spirit.”

Hamdan also stated: “The Palestinian people have been resisting for nearly a century, and the occupying and criminal Zionist regime uses all means to distort the image of the resistance.”
He emphasized that the movement reserves the right to respond to repeated violations of the ceasefire by the Israeli regime.
Regarding negotiations, Hamdan noted: “We are in discussions with our brothers in Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey about the second phase of ceasefire talks; however, the occupying regime insists on thwarting this agreement.”
On the mechanisms to guarantee the ceasefire, he said: “Palestinian groups consider the presence of an international force acceptable solely as a guarantor of the ceasefire agreement, without any executive authority or contact and friction with the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.”
He further stated that there is a national will among Palestinians to end internal divisions, but the occupying regime does not seek unity or agreement among Palestinians.
Hamdan stressed that the occupier does not distinguish between Palestinian groups and movements in its battles, treating all of them as its enemies.
The senior Hamas leader said: “Jews around the world must clearly state that Israel does not represent them and that Netanyahu embodies a racist terrorist project.”
He also mentioned that since the ceasefire agreement, more than 400 Palestinians have been martyred due to violations by the Israeli regime, most of them women and children.
Referring to the fallen commander Raed Saad, he said that Saad devoted his life to the Palestinian cause and the defense of his land and homeland. Hamdan concluded that Hamas remains committed to its right to resist, especially armed resistance.
