Hamdeen Sabahi: Nasrallah was a serious challenge to American-Zionist hegemony.

Hamdeen Sabahi, Secretary General of the Arab National Congress, in an interview with Al-Mayadeen News Network, examined the personality dimensions of the late Secretary General of Hezbollah, Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and said that Martyr Nasrallah was the pillar of the resistance movement, and his absence is difficult, and filling the void caused by this absence will take a long time.

He considered the influence of Martyr Nasrallah’s personality to be that he enabled the Muslim Ummah to have a deterrent against the Zionist enemy, liberate the occupied lands, and achieve victories against the enemy. With his determination and will, he had become a serious challenge to the American-Zionist hegemony.

Sabahi noted that Martyr Nasrallah was well aware of the nature of the enemy’s hegemonic goals and knew that forced displacement was part of the tools of this aggressive project.

This Arab figure stated that as long as Arab nations are alive and there are people who seek to preserve their dignity and pursue the liberation of Palestine, Martyr Nasrallah will also remain.

Referring to the deep position of “Sayyid Ummat” in Egyptian public opinion, he said that the Egyptians loved him very much and that he was one of the few people whose pictures were waved by the Egyptian nation in the squares and at Al-Azhar University after 2006. Egypt’s position was also very prominent in the heart and views of the martyr Nasrallah.

Hamdeen Sabahi considered the enemies of Egypt to be the same enemies that Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah stood against. He said that for the Egyptians, no one is more enemy than the Zionist regime.

Regarding the developments in Gaza, the head of the Arab National Congress noted that Egypt has taken commendable official positions in rejecting the forced displacement of Palestinians, which we must defend and stand by.

Sabahi considered the issue of Palestine to be a common point between the martyr Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and Gamal Abdel Nasser, and emphasized that the flag that Abdel Nasser waved was the same flag that Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah raised, which is the flag of the liberation of Palestine.
