Harris Erases Trump’s Lead, WSJ Poll Finds’

According to Hill, in a new poll of the “Wall Street Journal” publication, Donald Trump, the former president and the main candidate of the Republicans in the presidential elections of the United States, was 2 points higher than Kamala Harris, the vice president and the possible candidate of the Democrats in the presidential elections.

The presidential race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is essentially tied, according to a new Wall Street Journal poll that shows heightened support for her among nonwhite voters and dramatically increased enthusiasm about the campaign among Democrats.

In this poll, which was conducted after the withdrawal of US President Joe Biden and the main Democratic candidate from the 2024 presidential race, the former president took 49% of registered voters, and Kamala Harris 47%.

In the Wall Street Journal poll from the beginning of this month, the difference between the main Democratic candidate (Biden) and the main Republican candidate (Trump) was 6 percentage points. This survey was conducted shortly after Biden’s disastrous performance in the first debate between the Democratic candidate and the Republican candidate. Biden’s poor performance in this debate ultimately led to his withdrawal from the election competition, and now Kamala Harris is his most likely alternative.
