PNN – Mojtaba Ferdowsipour, head of the Iranian interests office in Cairo, emphasized in a statement that the (Friday) Iran-US talks in Oman will only address the nuclear issue.

Ferdowsi Pour said in an interview with Al-Hadath Network: It has been repeatedly announced by Iran, the Foreign Minister, and the Supreme National Security Council that in (Friday) negotiations, the only issue on the table is the nuclear issue.

He added: At this stage, the basis is the result that comes from these negotiations.

Ferdowsipour said: Of course, various issues and proposals may be discussed in the nuclear negotiations.

It is worth noting that Ali Shamkhani, the representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the Supreme Defense Council, previously said in an interview with Al-Mayadeen Network: Tehran has announced its readiness only for practical negotiations with Washington and nothing else, and Europe has also proven that it is incapable of doing anything.

The representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the Supreme Defense Council added: One of the conditions of the negotiations is that they be limited to the nuclear issue, and even the other side has announced that the nuclear issue is the main issue.

He said: Trump himself does not allow Europeans to enter, and therefore the negotiations are only with America and on the nuclear issue.

The representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the Supreme Defense Council stated that an agreement can be reached through dialogue on the nuclear issue if the threat is stopped, and continued: By sitting at the negotiating table and avoiding unreasonable conditions and orders, it is possible to reach an agreement.

Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, arrived in Muscat, the capital of Oman, on Friday morning to participate in (indirect) nuclear talks with the American delegation.

Araqchi arrived at Muscat airport this morning and was welcomed by the country’s officials. Araqchi is accompanied on this trip by Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei, Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Hamid Ghanbari, and a number of Iranian diplomats.
