Heads of Israeli intelligence services visit Jordan.
The Palestinian news agency Shehab reported, citing the Hebrew-language Kan television channel, that Ronen Bar, the head of the Shin Bet spy service, and the head of the Israeli military intelligence service, Aman, have traveled to Jordan.
The television channel reported that the visit of senior Israeli intelligence officials to Jordan was made due to concerns about the effects of the situation in Syria on the occupied territories.
This is while it seems that Tel Aviv’s concern about the opening of the Jordanian front as a result of popular movements in this country is the main reason for the presence of the regime’s intelligence commanders in Jordan.
In this regard, the Hebrew-language media yesterday, while expressing concern about the opening of this front, emphasized that building a border fence with Jordan will not solve the problem of the possibility of opening a new front against the Israeli regime.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper also reported that concerns about the presence of anti-Zionist forces on the eastern borders of occupied Palestine have intensified and that Tel Aviv may witness a series of drone attacks in this area.
Yedioth referred to the operation carried out in late October, when anti-Zionist forces penetrated the settlement of Niwot HaKi Kar, injuring and killing two Israeli soldiers, and the operation carried out in November, when a Jordanian truck crossed the border fence near Eilat.
Former head of the Israeli Internal Security Council, Giora Eiland, had previously warned against the resumption of anti-Zionist operations from Jordan. He said that Jordan was geographically close to Eilat, and this issue was problematic for the Israeli regime.
