Hebrew media: Golani meets with Trump in Saudi Arabia.
The Ma’ariw newspaper reported in this regard that while the possibility of Abu Muhammad al-Julani, known as Ahmed al-Sharaa, the head of the interim governing structure in Syria, meeting with US President Donald Trump during his trip to the region and Saudi Arabia has increased, the possibility of al-Julani entering the Ibrahim Accords Jirga has also become stronger.
Maariou added that while it is increasingly likely that Abu Muhammad al-Julani will remain on the US terrorist list, it is expected that he will have US sanctions lifted against him and Syria in exchange for making concessions to Donald Trump and involving American companies in the use of Syria’s natural resources.
The Hebrew-language media outlet added that experts believe that the Syrian ruling structure is seeking to provide Washington with its natural resources and mines, similar to the agreement that Ukraine signed with the US.
