Hebrew media: Jolani needs Israel to survive!
The newspaper Zeman Yisrael, the Hebrew edition of the Times of Israel, wrote in this regard that rumors have been circulating for a long time about direct contacts between Israel and the Syrian ruling structure, but to date no Israeli official has come forward to comment on or confirm this, of course the reasons for this are quite understandable, although the realities on the ground themselves indicate the existence of a quiet coordination mechanism.
Direct Jolani talks with Israelis officially confirmed
Direct talks between the Golani government and the Zionist regime revealed
To emphasize this fact, it is enough that today Israeli soldiers are stationed near Syrian villages in the (occupied) Golan, but this presence has not caused any friction or tension with the ruling structure of this country to date. In addition, on the orders of the structure under the rule of Ahmed Ashra (Abu Muhammad al-Julani), the media has reduced the volume of its news coverage of Israel’s presence in Syria and has almost completely boycotted it.
Omair Ba Shalom, the author of this analysis, continues: Undoubtedly, one of the reasons for the (media) inattention is the embrace that the Americans opened to Golani and placed him in during Trump’s visit to the southern Persian Gulf countries.
Since the meeting between Trump and Golani in Riyadh, Israel has not attacked any targets in Syria. Has an implicit agreement been formed to reduce tensions to pave the way for an agreement?
Experts prefer this issue, because even Turkey has not challenged Israel in its media since then and has not criticized them for the presence of the Israeli army in Syria. Another front that cooled in this conflict was the tension between the Druze in southern Syria and the central government in Damascus.
Another part of this analysis states that today part of the solution to the problem of the ruling structure in Syria to control the country’s affairs is provided through Israel. Israel can provide the ground for the presence of armed forces affiliated with this structure in the southern regions of the country and provide access to the Golani forces to the border area with Iraq.
This is an alignment of interests between the (Golani) government and Israel, which Tel Aviv is not very willing to realize, but US pressure has caused Benjamin Netanyahu to accept this process.
On the other hand, Al-Sharaa (Jolani) knows very well that his performance is under special scrutiny and that the sanctions imposed on Syria are not going to be lifted immediately and completely, and the United States has also emphasized that Trump’s promise to lift the sanctions will be reviewed and evaluated again in 6 months.
In this regard, according to the latest published reports, some Palestinian activists have been arrested by Syrian security forces, and the Golani forces have detailed lists of the names and characteristics of personalities who should be arrested and people who should be expelled from Syrian territory. No one knows who the source of this information is, but it is said to be the United States!
In the meantime, Israeli security agencies are closely monitoring the behavior of the Syrian ruling structure, and up to this point, Golani’s behavior has been promising, however, we continue to view him with suspicion because of his background.
