PNN – A Hebrew-language media outlet reported that Benjamin Netanyahu intends to create conditions such that, even if he loses the elections, the next government will not form a committee to investigate the October 7th events.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the newspaper Maariv reported that Netanyahu is preparing for the collapse of the ruling coalition as the Knesset enters its winter session. However, he plans to try to maintain his position by easing the military draft law for the Haredim and increasing funding for the ministries that are key to his coalition’s survival.

The Hebrew media outlet also noted the difficult situation Netanyahu is currently facing. The ruling coalition will return to the Knesset after the holidays with an incomplete composition, with the departure of extreme Orthodox parties, or half of them, from the coalition, and the uncertainty surrounding right-wing factions.

Nevertheless, in the ongoing negotiations, Netanyahu is making every effort to prevent the collapse of the government and maintain its stability. In discussions with the leaders of the extreme Orthodox factions, there have been firm statements regarding the approval of the military service law.

Netanyahu and his extreme Orthodox group are offering significant “concessions” on the sanctions formulated by Edelstein and, most importantly, promising the approval of the military service law to restore calm to the coalition.

According to the writer of the report, Netanyahu views the final outcome not just as a victory over Hamas, and he certainly sees the current agreement as such, but there are other objectives to complete the picture of victory. One of them is to push forward agreements with one or two other countries.

Moreover, Netanyahu is seeking to pass a law preventing the next government from establishing a government inquiry commission or any other commission regarding the October 7th failures.
