PNN – A Hebrew-language newspaper has acknowledged the continuing consequences of Hezbollah’s successful attacks on northern Israeli settlements, even more than a year after these attacks ceased.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Yedioth Ahronoth reported that over a year after the end of the war with Hezbollah, the northern Israeli settlement of Kiryat Shmona has still not fully rebuilt its damaged areas, fueling frustration among Israelis.

The report described the situation in Kiryat Shmona as tragic: many residents have not yet returned, and reconstruction efforts have struggled. Promised development plans have largely failed. The town was intended to serve as the main hub for surrounding northern settlements.

Yedioth Ahronoth added that finding an open café in the evening in this area is very difficult. The report emphasized that reaching political agreements with Lebanon is essential to build a better future in the region. The aftermath of the war continues to affect the area, and residents of Kiryat Shmona are considering emigration.
