Pak Sahafat – According to a Hebrew-language newspaper, Israel’s defense doctrine collapsed when Hamas crossed the defense line with Gaza, which was the barrier wall around the Gaza Strip.
According to the Pak Sahafat news agency, Eidan Eritz, the author of this analysis, which was published in the Hebrew language newspaper Globes, emphasized: Saturday’s operation by Hamas showed that full attention and focus on finding a technological solution to deal with the tunnels of the Palestinian groups, which was carried out in an exaggerated form, was the main cause of this collapse, although this is the beginning of the story and should be done after the end of the conflicts and conducting in-depth investigations.
According to this Israeli analyst, the surprising and unprecedented attack against Israel, which killed hundreds of people, injured thousands of people, and took dozens of people into captivity inside the Gaza Strip, began by crossing the barrier wall built around Gaza.

The author then asked: Now the question is raised, how could the wall, which has cost us 4 billion shekels along with all the systems installed on it, fail to achieve its main purpose for which it was built?
In explaining this, he added: This barrier wall, 60 kilometers long, was actually our third line of defense and created a separation between us and Gaza. They could not give an answer to our main security concern regarding the danger of Palestinian tunnels, so this wall was built.
He admitted in the continuation of his note, we had gained a false sense of security, even Benny Gantz, the Minister of War at the time, had announced in 2021 that this wall had taken away the most important tool of Hamas’ power, and this wall creates a sense of security for us.
This Zionist writer also added in another section about the reason for the collapse of this doctrine: Hamas knew well that it was able to capture the headquarters of the brigade quickly, so it attacked it directly so that they could not transmit their information to other units, including the commanders who were present in this headquarters.
