According to the report of the “I24” website, during a speech at the official commemoration ceremony of the 50th anniversary of the Zionist Atonement Day, Herzog said: “At this special time, we must learn from the past and understand well that the internal threat is the most severe and dangerous threat to Israel.”
The head of the occupying regime continued: Just yesterday, in the middle of the holy day, exactly fifty years after the start of the war and in the first Hebrew city, we saw a shocking and painful example; of how the internal conflict within us escalates and reaches its limit.

Herzog added: “How did we get to this terrible situation? How did the brothers stand in two trenches after fifty years of bitter war? Those who add to the fire of these conflicts are a real threat to the unity of Israel.”
He further warned: “This process must be stopped now.” Division, polarization and endless conflicts are a real danger to Israeli society and its security.
“Benyamin Netanyahu,” who is known as one of the main causes of the Zionist conflicts, claimed in this memorial ceremony: “Expanding the circle of peace is a historic opportunity and I am committed to it with all my heart; at the same time, I protect the vital interests of the country, the most important of which is security.”
Clashes in central Tel Aviv on Sunday, ahead of the Day of Atonement holiday, erupted as Jewish event organizers and ultra-Orthodox activists claimed they were attacked by demonstrators opposed to Netanyahu’s cabinet, according to Hebrew media reports.
The city of Tel Aviv witnessed demonstrations and violent clashes last night and Monday during the ceremonies related to the Day of Atonement; during these ceremonies, extremist religious groups tried to separate men and women in the squares and streets of the city, which faced the protests of the settlers.
The Hebrew newspaper “Yediot Aharonot” reported about this: “Clashes took place last night in Dizengoff Square, on the eve of the Day of Atonement, between hundreds of Tel Aviv residents and organizers of Jewish religious ceremonies.”
