PNN – Mohammad Raad, one of the leaders of Lebanese Hezbollah, considered relying on foreign countries to support Lebanon an illusion and emphasized that the resistance is a legitimate project to defend the country’s freedom and sovereignty.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Al-Noshreh website, Mohammad Raad, head of the Loyalty to the Resistance faction in parliament affiliated with Lebanon’s Hezbollah, said at a ceremony commemorating the martyrs of civil defense: The Zionist enemy has committed the most heinous forms of genocide in Gaza and Lebanon through killing, destruction, starvation, and targeting hospitals, residential buildings, and population centers.
He stated that the Israeli army has committed more than 4,000 violations on land, air, and sea since the signing of the cease-fire agreement in Lebanon.

Raad emphasized that this aggressive and brutal behavior will sooner or later have negative consequences for the regime itself, including the fact that the regime’s image has already become hated and isolated, even among Western nations that have historically supported the occupying countries.
Raad emphasized that freedom and sovereignty are two fundamental elements for any country, which are achieved through the will, awareness, faith, and commitment of its people to moral values and human dignity.
He considered resistance to be the highest expression of this awareness and a human right that does not require legitimacy from anyone, because it is a defensive act that stems from the national will and refuses to surrender to the occupation and its projects.
This senior Hezbollah member noted that the resistance in Lebanon is a force to support society and the state, and is not a burden on them, because experience has proven that Lebanon’s reliance on foreign friendships to protect the homeland is an illusion, and the integrity of the country is not ensured by surrendering to others and fulfilling their interests, but rather by acting on the free national will.
