Hezbollah: We are ready to resist the enemy’s attempt to swallow Lebanon.
“Mohamed Raad,” head of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” faction, called for the unity of all Lebanese in a ceremony in the southern suburbs of Beirut to prevent the Zionist regime from achieving its goal of “devouring Lebanon.”
He stressed that the resistance will continue to fulfill its duty so that the government can prove its ability to defend and protect the country.
At the ceremony, Raad emphasized the need for internal solidarity and said: “Some in Lebanon must understand that the enemy’s goal is to devour Lebanon, and he resorts to every excuse to achieve this goal.”
He added: “All Lebanese must be united in their position to prevent the enemy from achieving its goals, because the most important obstacle to Zionist excesses is the unity of the Lebanese position and the cohesion of the country’s internal front.”
The Hezbollah representative continued: “The most important motivation for the Zionist regime’s violent and unbridled behavior is the existence of divisions and differences among the Lebanese in the face of its aggression.” The resistance was formed from the beginning in response to the government’s inability to protect the people and the land, and it will continue its national duty until the government demonstrates its readiness and ability to fulfill its role in national defense.
Raad also stated that in the process of reviewing the comprehensive strategy for national security and defense, the role and position of the resistance will be determined as an evolutionary and necessary pillar, and this role will be redefined alongside the duties of other forces and institutions of the country.
Addressing all local political parties and spectrums, he said: It is in the interest of the country and the people to manage internal disputes in a way that does not give the enemy the opportunity to exploit and capitalize on those disputes, lest he gain more courage and advance.
In another part of his speech, Raad, referring to the destruction of villages by the Zionist regime over the past 60 days, stated: “The Zionist enemy completely destroyed villages over the past 60 days, and this was done while some observers present called themselves friends of Lebanon, but in reality they were false witnesses and collaborators of the enemy.”
He added: “This regime continues to commit violations, kill people, prevent the reconstruction of homes and the return of residents to their villages, and threaten the security and stability of all of Lebanon.”
Criticizing some domestic positions that, according to him, lead to “justification of the enemy’s actions,” Raad called on Lebanese citizens and groups to eliminate the excuses that the enemy resorts to to justify its crimes so that the aggressions cannot continue.
These statements were made after the Zionist regime carried out numerous attacks on Lebanese soil over the past few days.
In this regard, official Lebanese media reported that over the past 24 hours, Israeli forces have committed more than 10 new ceasefire violations, violating the ceasefire agreement with the resistance and the Lebanese government.
