Hezbollah’s Young Leaders Uphold Resistance in Open Letter.
Abdul Bari Atwan, editor of the trans-regional newspaper Rai al-Youm and a well-known Palestinian analyst, dedicated the new editorial of this electronic newspaper to the developments in Lebanon in the level of escalation of the Zionist regime’s aggression and threats at the same time as the US increased pressure, and wrote: When the Zionist occupying regime, through its Minister of War, Israel Katz, threatens to destroy Hezbollah, the regime’s army, through its spokesman Avichay Idraei, gives an urgent warning to the residents of southern Lebanon to leave immediately, and the Israeli security cabinet holds an emergency meeting on Thursday evening to approve the plan to attack Lebanon, all these factors confirm at first glance that war is imminent and that this is a matter of only a few hours, not a few days or weeks.
None of the occupiers’ goals against Hezbollah has been achieved.
Abdul Bari Atwan added: Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah, emphasized that the movement has completely restored and reorganized its internal structure across the military, political, and leadership spheres. Therefore, Hezbollah is now again a real and existential threat to the occupying regime, and perhaps this threat is greater than ever.
Atwan continued by referring to the reports of the Zionist media about the reconstruction of Hezbollah’s capabilities and emphasized: Israel’s threats against Lebanon, along with the regime’s air attacks, which it claims have been carried out against “missile factories” and “Hezbollah training bases” in several areas, prove that the main goals of the Zionist regime’s aggression against Lebanon, primarily the destruction of Hezbollah, have not only not been achieved, but have also had the opposite effect and may have strengthened Hezbollah on new foundations.
Hezbollah’s young leadership has developed the legacy of the resistance
The Palestinian analyst added: The conspiracy to disarm Hezbollah has failed, and now the enemy is trying to push Lebanon towards normalizing relations. A Lebanese source close to Hezbollah told us, “Hezbollah’s new and young leadership, some of whom hold degrees from Arab and international universities and others who have been trained in the military academies of several friendly regional and international countries, have not only revived the party and its military institutions and leadership, but have now taken over its leadership and expanded the legacy of the resistance.”
The article continues by stating that the source close to Hezbollah said, “The new Hezbollah was formed based on the attack that became known to the Zionists as ‘Black Sunday’; an operation in which important military targets of the enemy were targeted in the heart of Tel Aviv and Haifa, including the headquarters of the 8200 intelligence unit and the home of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesarea. This operation forced the Zionist regime to turn to the US for a ceasefire with Lebanon.”
