Homeless Zionists After Iran’s Shocking Response’

In a report on this subject, the Yedioth Aharonot newspaper quoted a number of homeless Zionists as saying that the Beersheba municipality asked families of residents of one of the city’s neighborhoods, which was destroyed due to an Iranian missile strike, to immediately leave the hotel where they had been accommodated since the first day of the incident, otherwise they would have to pay for their stay out of their own pockets and even be charged for the rent for the previous days.

According to this Hebrew media outlet, the aforementioned Zionists are being evicted from hotels, while field reports show that the price of housing rental in this city has also increased sharply, and there are currently no vacant houses for rent.

In another part of the report, it is stated that, contrary to Bezalel Smotrich’s claim that 500 shekels were allocated to each person made homeless by the war with Iran, these homeless people received 1,000 shekels in the form of vouchers to purchase goods from specific stores through the Beersheba municipality, while according to them, this is apparently the last thing they are supposed to receive from official Israeli institutions.

Aharonot further emphasized that the displaced people are families who previously lived in their apartments and had young children. Now they are unable to return to their apartments and at the same time they were evicted from their place of residence. This has caused most of these people to look for a place to rent, but no owner is currently willing to rent their property for a month or two, while the rental price has also increased sharply due to the increased demand and the entry of the homeless into the housing rental market and is still increasing.
