PNN – The case of a fake Saudi prince in Lebanon and his infiltration among the country’s politicians has become scandalous.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, a man in Lebanon claim that he was a Saudi prince and could secure higher positions for Lebanese politicians in exchange for financial sums has turned into a controversial issue in the country.
Based on this report, many Lebanese representatives and politicians fell into this individual’s trap and were deceived by him for several years. A person named Khaldoun Aremet would meet with Lebanese political figures and claim to be in contact with individuals close to the Saudi court, including a prince. He would then contact a person named Abu Omar, the fake prince, and claim that he could fulfill the requests of Lebanese politicians.
Abu Omar was actually a Lebanese citizen named Mustafa Al-Hussain, a resident of Akkar and a car mechanic, who speaks the Gulf dialect well. He pocketed a lot of money through this scheme and even received a monthly salary from some Lebanese politicians!
He managed to influence parliamentary and municipal elections and primarily sought to infiltrate various segments of society, especially Sunnis. Abu Omar had stipulated that these relationships must remain hidden from the media and the Saudi embassy. The aforementioned politicians became suspicious of him after noticing that Abu Omar did not appear at any official Saudi gatherings in Lebanon. One of these figures raised the issue with the Saudi mission in Lebanon, and he was ultimately arrested near Lebanon’s borders.
