How did the Western, Hebrew and Arabic media cover the leader’s letter?

How did the Western, Hebrew and Arabic media cover the leader’s letter?

Since the beginning of May, as a sign of protest against the Zionist regime’s genocide in the Gaza Strip, American universities have witnessed protests that, from the perspective of observers, were seen in the 1960s and the protests of universities in this country against the Vietnam War.

These protests against the Zionist genocide in more than 50 American universities went to the point where its scope reached some other Western countries, Australia (Melbourne and Sydney universities), Canada (McGill and Concordia universities), France (Paris Institute of Political Studies and Sorbonne University). , Italy (Sapienza University), England (Leeds University, London College and Warwick University) etc.

In this regard, the supreme leader of the revolution published an important letter addressed to pro-Palestinian students in America on Thursday morning (10 June).

Of course, this is not the first time that the Supreme Leader of the Revolution has addressed certain sections of the West as necessary. A few years ago, following the events in France and the publication of insulting images of Islamic holy things in the French satirical magazine “Charlie Hebdo” and the intensification of anti-Islam and Islamophobia by Western authorities and media, he wrote an important letter to the youth in Europe and North America.

A few days ago, the leader’s letter to the American students who support Palestine, like the previous letters, received the attention of the world’s important media, and each of them reflected on this letter from a different angle.

Arab media against the anger of Hebrew sources

In the meantime, the Arabic-language media paid special attention to the letter of the supreme leader of the revolution, and Al-Masira base in Yemen, Al-Manar in Lebanon, Al-Ahed, Al-Mayadeen, Al-Nashrah and Russia Al-Yum, etc. covered the news of the writing of this letter and translated parts of it and made it available to their audiences ; A look at the content of these news shows the positive and constructive approach of the mentioned media, some of which are mentioned below.

Lebanon’s “Al-Ahed” news website headlined about this: “Imam Khamenei addressed American students: You are now part of the resistance front” and covered the letter of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution to the youth and students in America. .

“Al-Mayadeen” also published this part of the leader’s letter addressed to American youth and students and chose this title: You are now on the right side of the history that is turning.

Lebanon’s “Al-Nashrah” headlined a part of the Supreme Leader’s speech: You are now a part of the resistance and the history that is taking shape.

Reflecting this letter of the leadership, Yemen’s “Al-Masira” also reported: The leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran wrote a letter to the American youth and students in the United States who came to the field to defend the children of Gaza and its women, and further reflected the content of this letter.

In addition, “leadership support for Gaza”, “attention to the women and children of this group”, “admiration of American educated people”, “American students as a new branch of resistance”, “necessity to end the open oppression of the Zionist regime”, “accusing England” and America due to the financial and military support of the Israeli regime”, “the complete disregard of the Zionist regime for all moral, human and religious values”, “increasing violence, terror and repression”, “the awakened conscience of American students” and “the changing situation in the West “Asia” was one of the issues highlighted by Arab media.

On the other hand, the newspapers of the Zionist regime, especially “Jerusalem Post” and “The Times of Israel” were angered by this letter, and the content of their reports indicated the height of this anger.

These Hebrew media tried to insinuate that this letter was a “demonstration”. They also repeatedly claimed in their reports that the letter of the leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran had a great effect on the intensification of “anti-Semitism” in the United States; Humiliation, which, of course, is the Zionist policy to cover up the biggest crime and genocide in history in the Gaza Strip.

Therefore, “inducing security concerns for Jewish students”, “inducing a loose alliance in the axis of resistance”, “media effort to portray Iran as a human rights violator” were just a few of the political and media tactics of Hebrew sources.

Western media tricks to reduce the importance of the letter and its message

Unlike Hebrew and Zionist sources, more professional Western media entered this category. They echoed parts of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution’s letter and while reflecting it, they delicately expressed their positions in order to bring him along with them without the audience realizing their intentions.

“You are standing on the right side of history” as the central signifier of the leadership’s letter to American students appears in almost all Western media reports and is sometimes prominent in the headlines of the reports. For example, “New York Post” and “Fox News” highlighted this part of the leader’s letter addressed to American students that “You are now standing on the right side of history and you are now part of the resistance front.”

The website of the American network “Fox News” published the full text of the revolutionary leader’s letter to the American students with the title “Iranian leader thanked the American students for standing on the right side of history”.

Fox News reproduced parts of the letter that were published in English on the Supreme Leader’s account on X. Instead of linking the student movement to the Zionist genocide in the Gaza Strip and America’s unconditional support for this regime, the American conservative media mischievously tries to introduce this movement under the influence of other causes. Therefore, he wrote that Ayatollah Khamenei also praised the professors and staff of American universities who participated in the demonstrations and said that they sympathize with the students, but this report does not mention the eight-month crimes in Gaza.

Fox News used the word “allegation” for some of the selected leadership’s sentences as an example: “Iran’s leader claimed that the United States and England brought terrorists into the region after the world wars.”

The “News” website, which is one of the branches of the “CNN” news agency in India, also put “Get to know the Quran” in the headline, quoting the letter of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution and wrote that the leader of the Iranian Revolution asked the students protesting the Israeli regime to read the Quran Become familiar. Despite this, “News” has tried to make the students’ demonstrations look “anti-Semitic” and therefore “the effect of immigrants”.

Some media such as “Newsweek” and “USA Today” have tried to reflect the reaction of various world officials, especially American officials, to the letter of the leader of the Islamic Revolution, and as an example, USA Today has emphasized that “the praise of the Iranian leader caused the reaction of President Mike Johnson became the House of Representatives”.
