How many casualties has the Israeli army caused so far?

How many casualties has the Israeli army caused so far?

The authorities of the Zionist regime give statistics of their military deaths that do not correspond to the events in the field. A look at the number of destroyed equipment partially reveals the real number of casualties of the Israeli army.

The October 2023 war of the Israeli regime against Palestine has passed its 45th day. After the wars of occupation of Palestine in 1948 and before that, this war gradually became the longest war in the history of this regime after a week.

What stands out in this war is the heavy human losses and huge economic losses. The description of the economic damage requires another place, and in this note, human casualties are discussed.

Human casualties

According to the official announcement, Israel killed more than 1,500 people until the 45th (Monday, November 20-November 29). In order to describe the “heaviness” of the casualties, let’s look at the statistics of the 2006 33-day war with Lebanon and the 2014 Gaza war:

1- In the 2006 war against Lebanon, during thirty and a half days and of course according to the official announcement; Israel suffered 121 military deaths and 44 civilian deaths (respectively, 1,244 and 4,262 wounded). A total of 165 dead and 5506 injured. (Certainly, the real number is more than this).

2- In the 2014 war against Gaza, within fifty days, and of course according to the official announcement; Israel gave 72 military deaths and 720 wounded (definitely the real number is more than this).

3- But in this war (2023) until the 45th day, according to the official announcement, Israel has killed 368 soldiers and 1147 civilians, totaling 1515 people.

The Regime Insurance Organization announced in a report on Monday (day 45) that the number of military and civilian deaths is 1,147. In this way, 759 civilians and 320 military personnel were killed on the first day of the Al-Aqsa storm operation (October 7) and 70 soldiers since the beginning of the ground attack.

In the early days of the war, Tel Aviv updated the first day’s death toll to 1,400, but after it became clear that some of the first day’s dead (whose bodies were burned) were the result of Israeli helicopter attacks, it was claimed that 200 of the 1,400 were Palestinians. are.

Israel did not update it after this figure. Rather, with excuses such as the fact that 200 of them are Palestinians, he tried to make this number even lower. Because these figures are like a multi-ton bomb for the psyche of the Israeli society, which must be prevented from exploding. After the 33-day war, Tel Aviv decided it had to censor its casualty figures even more. Therefore, the comparison of the two death tolls of the war of 2006 and 2014 mentioned above, in itself, shows this tendency of Tel Aviv.

Casualties after the ground attack began

Now let’s look at the death toll in the war of 2023 and see how real it looks.

Last Saturday night, Israel announced the beginning of the second phase of the ground war in northern Gaza. Of course, there was no dramatic change in the field that would indicate the second stage, because in this stage, from the military point of view, there was no achievement to speak of the second stage. This means that no important leader or commander of Hamas was killed, no headquarters of Hamas was discovered and captured, no part of the northern Gaza Strip was captured in the real sense (the conflict continues), and in addition to all this, no prisoners were discovered alive. was not released The only thing that was seen from the second stage was that on Sunday, Israel intensified and expanded its attacks from the northeast and southeast of Gaza City, and as a result, it became clear that from Saturday night and Sunday, casualties and equipment damage Israel’s army increased greatly. On Sunday (the 44th), al-Qassam announced that it had destroyed 29 Israeli tanks, personnel carriers, and armored vehicles. Every day or every 48 hours, when Qassam mentions the enemy’s casualties or damage, he documents it in numerous videos, so what he declares is almost applicable and can be cited and verified.

Therefore, when Israel announced two deaths on Sunday, hours later two more were added, and then on the same day, it increased the number to five. However, it was observed that even this two-three-fold increase does not match the statistics provided by Qassam. With the passage of time and the arrival of Monday, the Israeli army continued and updated the death toll of Sunday up to ten people until Monday evening (gradual acknowledgment). Although Israel obviously announces the statistics less than the reality, it announces it gradually and with a delay in order to avoid causing a shock to its forces and the domestic public opinion.

The question is, despite such censorship, how much is the real figure? Looking at the number of destroyed tanks and personnel carriers, perhaps this question can be answered to some extent.

Each Merkava tank can carry at least 4 soldiers. Each Namer carries between 10 and 12 people. According to the statements of the Qassam battalions, since the beginning of the ground war, more than 200 tanks and personnel carriers or military vehicles have been destroyed (partially or completely). These tools are mainly targeted with the Yasin 105 rocket, which has an effective range of about 100 to 150 meters and is two times, and after the penetration of the first bullet, the second bullet explodes.
