Human Rights Watch: Hypocrisy and double standards of the West exposed in the Gaza war.
Human Rights Watch, in a statement, condemning the aggression of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip and obstructing the process of providing aid to the region, announced that the United States and its allies are also involved in Israel’s actions to deepen the suffering of the people of Gaza.
This human rights organization emphasized that the Israeli authorities are committing war crimes against the Palestinian people. Israel, as the occupying party, is obliged to guarantee civilian access to basic goods according to the Geneva Conventions. In this situation, Israel, as one of the parties to the war, is obliged to facilitate the arrival of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The statement continued, that although the laws of war allow each side to take the necessary measures to ensure the absence of weapons in aid shipments, it is prohibited to intentionally obstruct the aid delivery process.
“Tom Porteous,” Deputy Program Director of Human Rights Watch in this regard, pointed out that the requirements of international humanitarian law to protect civilians must be fully implemented everywhere, the hypocrisy and double standards of the West here (Gaza war) are clear.
