Humanitarian aid in Gaza has become very difficult.

Humanitarian aid in Gaza has become very difficult.

According to the Palestine Information Center, the World Food Program affiliated to the United Nations announced that relief operations in the Gaza Strip have become more difficult than ever, especially as the winter season approaches.

Corinne Fleischer, head of the Middle East, North Africa and Eastern Europe region of the World Food Program, announced at a press conference in New York that the increase in aggression by the Zionist regime against activists in the field of humanitarian assistance has caused difficulties in the efforts made to prevent famine in the Gaza Strip. 500,000 people live in catastrophic conditions similar to famine.

He further mentioned that the humanitarian aid groups are facing many obstacles in the Gaza Strip, such as the destroyed roads that make it very difficult to move in the winter season, in addition to the long hours of waiting to receive permission from the Zionist occupiers to move to other places. It is one of their other problems.

Fleischer also pointed to the severe overcrowding in the refugee settlement centers, so that about two million people live in about 11% of the area of the Gaza Strip. He added that the increase in the orders issued by the occupiers to evacuate the areas last month and the worsening security conditions for the workers of humanitarian organizations have challenged the ability of the World Food Program to reach Palestinian citizens and provide them with aid.
