PNN – The Gaza Ministry of Health issued a statement announcing a humanitarian disaster in Gaza hospitals due to a shortage of human resources and medical equipment.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Palestine Information Center, The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip issued a statement on Monday warning that the situation in hospitals and medical centers has reached a critical stage following continuous attacks by the Israeli regime and the long-term siege.
The statement said that critical departments such as operating rooms, intensive care units and emergency rooms are operating with worn-out equipment and without essential items. Medical facilities are in dire need of portable imaging devices, anesthesia equipment and medical tools to treat the injured.

According to the report, specialized surgeries in the fields of orthopedics, vascular, eye, and general surgery have been halted due to a lack of surgical instruments and trays. Inpatient wards are also facing a severe shortage of hospital beds, medical aids, and even space to admit patients.
The Gaza Health Ministry adds that stocks of medical gases such as carbon dioxide, ethylene, and oxides have reached zero, and even special operating room fabrics, bed linens, and shrouds for the bodies of martyrs have completely run out.
According to the statement, disinfection and infection prevention programs are at risk of collapse due to shortages of items such as concentrated chlorine, washing enzymes, and crystal salt and medical staff, who are working around the clock, is deprived of meeting their nutritional needs and food raw materials.
The Gaza Ministry of Health concluded by emphasizing that this severe shortage of medical equipment and supplies has brought the humanitarian crisis in Gaza to a more complex stage and has practically paralyzed the ability of medical staff to save the lives of the sick and injured.
