PNN – Talal Arslan, head of Lebanon’s Democratic Party, stated that with the martyrdom of Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, humanity has lost an extraordinary figure. Speaking on the first anniversary of Nasrallah’s passing, Arslan described him as more than just a politician or a leader, emphasizing his global significance and influence.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Manar, Arslan recalled his personal relationship with Nasrallah, saying he could not fully believe in his martyrdom until he attended his funeral. He added that every meeting with Nasrallah lasted for hours, and despite pressures and injustices, his smile never faded. Nasrallah, he said, was a figure admired by all nations, showing steel-like nerves and deep compassion even at the height of power.

Arslan emphasized that their discussions were always guided by honesty, integrity, ethics, firmness, and clarity. He described Nasrallah as an elder brother figure, whose critiques were delivered with care and kindness.

The Lebanese politician highlighted that Nasrallah’s combination of virtues was rare, making him a beloved, truthful, and steadfast personality. “With his passing, humanity lost an exceptional figure, not to mention the Islamic Ummah,” Arslan remarked.

Concluding, he said that Nasrallah’s character is unique for all times, recalling his father’s saying that hatred is for cowards, while kindness is the trait of true men—qualities clearly embodied by Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah.
