Hundreds of Pakistani doctors and aid workers took to the streets of Karachi on Sunday in solidarity with their counterparts in Gaza.

In continuation of the wave of support for the Palestinian people and condemnation of the crimes of the Israeli regime, hundreds of Pakistani doctors came to the streets.

According to “Anatolia” news agency, hundreds of Pakistani doctors and aid workers marched in Karachi on Sunday and paid tribute to their Palestinian counterparts who are performing their duties despite the escalation of Israeli airstrikes and bombardment of hospitals in Gaza.

Those present in this march gathered in front of “Aga Khan” hospital, wearing white robes and waving Palestinian tricolor flags. Protesters chanted slogans such as “Free Palestine”, “Labik or Gaza” and “Death to Israel”.

Hafiz Naeemur Rahman, head of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Pakistan’s main religious and political party, condemned America for vetoing the ceasefire resolution of the United Nations Security Council.

While paying tribute to Palestinian doctors and aid workers, he said, “On the one hand, Israeli forces kill unarmed Palestinians, including children and women, and on the other hand, they deliberately target medical centers.”

So far, at least 17,700 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 48,780 others have been injured in the relentless air and ground attacks on this area since October 7.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry on Saturday criticized the United Nations Security Council for its failure to establish a ceasefire in Gaza.

Early on Saturday, America vetoed the UN Security Council resolution to establish an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. After this vote, Israeli representative “Gilad Erdan” thanked Joe Biden’s government for “resolute support for Israel” in a message on X social network.

“Pakistan is deeply disappointed that the UN Security Council has not yet again called for a ceasefire in Gaza,” Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
