According to this resolution, which was conveyed to the relevant officials a few days ago, a committee headed by Ibrahim al-Mousawi, a member of the Lebanese parliament, will be formed. Its members will include representatives from all of Hezbollah’s media institutions, including radio, television, electronic media, and the party’s public relations unit.
Based on the available information, the new department will operate directly under the supervision of Sheikh Naim Qassem, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, and this arrangement will continue until a further decision is made on whether it will remain within this framework or be transformed into a new central council.
Another decision taken by Hezbollah’s Leadership Council was to grant this committee broad powers to restructure and streamline media institutions and to formulate a new strategy for media engagement domestically and internationally. According to the resolution, officials heading media institutions must possess expertise in the same field, and the appointment of leaders from other sectors to these positions should be avoided.
