PNN – After Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, and Slovenia, Iceland has now announced that it will boycott the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 due to the participation of the Israeli regime.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera Qatar, Iceland announced on Wednesday that it will withdraw from Eurovision 2026 in protest of Israel’s presence.
All five countries decided to withdraw from the competition after the confirmation of the participation of the Israeli occupiers, accused of killing children.
Earlier, it was reported that Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, and Slovenia had announced their decision to boycott the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 because of Israel’s participation.
This decision was made in protest against the European Broadcasting Union’s (EBU) approval of Israel’s presence in the upcoming Eurovision competitions, despite growing calls to exclude Israel due to the war in Gaza.
