Ignoring the American coalition: two more companies stopped crossing the Red Sea.
Although a coalition led by the United States has promised to support shipping companies in the Red Sea, Reuters news agency has reported that ships continue to refuse to travel in the Red Sea.
Reuters reported on Thursday evening that the German shipping company “Hapag Lloyd” and the Hong Kong shipping company “Awasail” have stopped their activities in the Red Sea.
In a statement, Hapag Lloyd said that due to the increase in freight rates as a result of disruptions in crossing this waterway, it has changed the route of 25 ships by the end of this year.
In a statement to Reuters, Vausil has asked its ships to either change their route or stop crossing the Red Sea until further notice.
In another news, Reuters reported the confusion of the shipping industry companies about the duties and obligations of the coalition that America claims to have set up to ensure security in the Red Sea.
