PNN – The first bill to block the provision of American weapons to the Zionist regime since the beginning of the Gaza war is being presented by a pro-Palestinian Female Democratic representative in the United States.
According to the International group of Pakistan News Network, “Ilhan Omar”, the Democratic Representative of the American state of Minnesota, is going to submit a legal bill on Wednesday, in an unprecedented move since the beginning of the Gaza war, to oppose the multi-million-dollar support package of American bomb equipment for the Zionist regime.
According to Huff Post, this news was stated by a reliable source who did not want to reveal his name, and it is considered as the first challenge of the US Congress against the policies of the Biden government’s continuous military support for the Zionist regime, and in the midst of the deadly military campaign of the Netanyahu regime.
By Wednesday, Ilhan Omar will present a bill called “Resolution of Disapproval” with the support of a group of Democratic representatives, in which the plan related to the sale of 320 million dollars of precision bomb guidance kits is targeted.
If both the US Senate and the US House of Representatives pass this bill, the Biden administration will no longer be able to transfer the kits intended as bomb equipment to Tel Aviv for use against Hamas, unless President Joe Biden can, if supported lower house of representatives of the two houses veto the proposed bill.

Ilhan Omar’s spokesperson has not commented on this matter so far. Earlier this year, before the war between Hamas and the Zionist regime began on October 7, the Biden government and the Zionist regime reached an agreement on the aforementioned arms deal, and the Congress did not object to the aforementioned plan at that time.
However, according to the Wall Street Journal, on October 31, after the Israeli attack on Gaza killed thousands of people, the Biden administration told Congress that it intended to move forward with the transfer of said equipment.
Based on this, there is no basic guarantee that Ilhan Omar’s bill will be voted for approval. This issue depends on the Foreign Relations Committee of the House of Representatives, which must approve the bill in full before it is considered by the House of Representatives.
Although the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the House of Representatives and other Republicans who hold the majority of the House of Representatives, mostly support military aid to the Zionist regime. However, if another senator introduces a bill similar to Omar’s bill, it will be automatically voted on in the House of Representatives, as Senator Bernie Sanders used in 2021 to force the Senate to vote on his proposed bill.
Josh Paul, a former official of the US State Department who resigned due to the ineffective policies of the Biden administration in Gaza, welcomed and praised Omar’s action as a very important step. Paul said: Omar’s bill shows that there are still people in America who care about this issue (Gaza war) and are not ready to deal with it so easily.
Bomb equipment has been one of the most important items that Tel Aviv has used to destroy Gaza and Hamas positions over the past month.
