The Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office announced today the phone call between US President Joe Biden and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani.
According to the statement of the Iraqi Prime Minister’s office, a copy of which was published in the official Iraqi news agency (Waa), al-Sudani and Biden discussed the ongoing developments in the Palestinian territories and the importance of mobilizing efforts and joint action to support sustainable stability in the region, as well as efforts They emphasized to strengthen bilateral cooperative relations between Iraq and the United States of America based on the strategic framework agreement between the two countries.

The Prime Minister of Iraq and Biden also emphasized the need to curb the conflict and take action to prevent the development of a circle of war that targets civilians and threatens regional and international peace and stability.

According to this report, in this conversation, al-Sudani emphasized Iraq’s firm and principled position regarding the developments in Gaza and the necessity of reopening the humanitarian corridors and bringing the necessities of the people of the Gaza Strip into their hands and said that the continuation of the aggression against Gaza arouses the anger of the nations of the region and the world.

Today, 11 days have passed since the start of the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation against the Zionist regime. The operation that has so far resulted in the death of at least 1,300 Zionists and the brutal and retaliatory attacks of the Zionist regime on the Gaza Strip, in addition to the destruction of residential areas and its infrastructure, has resulted in the martyrdom of 2,837 people and the injury of nearly 12,000 people.
