Independent’s report about the reaction of the US President and the White House regarding the martyrdom of Ayatollah Raisi

PNN – The English publication “Independent” wrote about the unusual reaction and silence of the Foreign Ministry and the US White House regarding the martyrdom of Iranian President Ayatollah Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation: The Biden government did not publish a statement in this regard until Monday noon, and critics of the American government believe that this silence shows the wider inability of the White House to draw a clear policy and vision for the future of the Middle East.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the United States of America officially condoled the martyrdom of President Ayatollah Raisi and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian and their companions.

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller announced in a statement on Monday local time: The United States of America officially condoles the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raeesi, Foreign Minister Amir Abdullahian and other members of their delegations in the helicopter crash in the northwest of this country.

At the same time, the spokesperson of the US Foreign Ministry repeated the claim of supporting the Iranian people and added: “As Iran elects a new president, we reiterate our support for the Iranian people and their struggle for human rights and fundamental freedoms.”

The Biden administration has not announced a clear policy on Iran since its inauguration in 2021 and the end of Donald Trump’s administration.

The Trump administration withdrew from the JCPOA agreement supported by the Democrats during the administration of Barack Obama. Biden’s team has not shown any indication that the US is looking to return to the agreement with the Iranian government.

The US government has also never fully recovered from the disaster of withdrawing from Afghanistan, which was hastily implemented under former President Donald Trump and the Biden administration. The final days of America’s withdrawal from the longest war were chaotic, bloody, and depressing.

13 American soldiers were killed in a suicide attack outside the Kabul airport, while the terrible scenes of the Afghan people’s terror on the airport runway were reflected in the world media.

One of the American planes that took off from the runway of Kabul airport, after landing at the destination airport, was carrying human remains in its wheel well. Finally, after more than 20 years of war, Afghanistan returned to the rule of the Taliban.
