India demanded to avoid escalating tensions in the region

PNN – Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar, stating that New Delhi is worried about the escalation of tensions between Iran and the Zionist regime, announced that in contacts with his counterparts in Iran and Israel, he invited the parties to calm down.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting from the Economic Times news website, the Indian Foreign Minister stating during a press conference in Bangalore, pointing out that India has commercial interests in the Middle East region and that the country’s sea freight and oil routes pass through this region, said: The Indian government asked Iran and Israel to find a way to reduce tensions.

Stating that the world will face economic tensions and global conflicts in the coming years, Jaishankar reminded: Over the past decade, our global credibility has grown dramatically, we have held the rotating presidency of the G20 and we have been successful in countering cross-border terrorism.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India wrote in a statement titled “Situation in West Asia” in response to Iran’s response to the Zionist regime’s attack on Tehran’s consulate in Damascus, Syria, under the title of military operation “Sadiq Promise”: We demand immediate de-escalation, restraint, retreat from violence and return to the path of diplomacy, and we closely monitor the developments.

India stated: We are extremely concerned about the escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran, which threatens peace and security in the region. Our embassies in the region are in close contact with the Indian community.

It is emphasized in this statement: maintaining security and stability in the region is vital.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced on Saturday night that it carried out the “True Promise” operation and fired dozens of drones and missiles towards the occupied territories and positions of the Israeli regime with the aim of punishing Tel Aviv for the regime’s missile attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria.

The representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United Nations also announced: Iran’s military action was carried out based on Article 51 of the United Nations Charter regarding legitimate defense in response to the aggression of the Zionist regime on the diplomatic places of our country in Damascus.
