India’s latest move against Pakistan.
According to Russia Today, government sources announced that India has blocked 16 Pakistani channels, including popular news channels, on YouTube because they were publishing inflammatory content that was intended to incite sectarian tensions.
The sources added that the closed channels had a total of 63 million followers. These channels were closed on the orders of the Indian Home Ministry.
Today, the Indian army issued a statement claiming that Pakistani forces had once again violated the ceasefire agreement in the border area known as the Line of Control in the Jammu and Kashmir region.
The statement said that last night the Pakistani army had fired unprovoked towards the Line of Control areas opposite Kupwara and Baramulla. Indian forces also responded quickly.
Amidst the escalation of tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad after a deadly attack on a group of tourists in Indian-controlled Kashmir, the country’s authorities reported an exchange of fire between Indian and Pakistani forces on the border between the two countries.
