Indonesia sends 800 tons of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
According to a report by IRNA on Thursday from the Russian TASS news agency, Noor Ahmad said regarding the sending of Indonesian aid packages: “We have prepared 800 tons of humanitarian aid, which is to be sent to the Gaza Strip by the Indonesian National Armed Forces in cooperation with the Jordanian and Egyptian air forces.” He specified that the first shipment, weighing 80 tons, will be sent to the region on Sunday, August 16, and the rest of the aid package will be sent to the region in the following days. This aid includes food, medicine, clothing, and other essential items.
“Hasan Nasabi”, the press spokesman for the Indonesian presidency, also announced last week that the country’s authorities are ready to dispatch peacekeeping forces and deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
According to the Antara News news agency, the Indonesian Ministry of Defense has confirmed that the Israeli regime will not prevent the sending of Indonesian aid to the people of Gaza. Senior Indonesian Defense Ministry official Tribadi Otomo announced on Wednesday that Israel has granted access to some parties, including Indonesia, to deliver aid to Gaza. He said at the Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta that the aid has been allowed to be delivered until Sunday, August 24.
