Initiative of 32 countries to lift the blockade of Gaza by marching towards the region.

According to Al Jazeera, a coalition of unions, solidarity movements with Gaza, and international legal institutions from 32 countries around the world have launched a project called the “Global March to Gaza” to protest the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the region, which has followed the siege and brutal attack by the Zionist regime on Gaza that began about 20 months ago.

Saif Abu Kashk, head of the International Coalition Against Israeli Occupation, said the goals of the march were to stop the genocide of the Palestinian people, to try to get humanitarian aid directly and immediately into Gaza, and to call for the lifting of the siege on the region.

Abu Kashk announced that the participants in the campaign are of different nationalities, and most of them are from Western countries, and not just Muslim and Arab minorities in these countries.

He stated that the number of participants in this campaign has so far exceeded 10,000, and various working groups are following the available geography for logistical studies and media communication with all languages, and the geographical division of routes.

The participants in this march have announced their goals for carrying out this campaign as an effort to save the residents of Gaza from hunger, and in various interviews they have stated the following goals for their march:

1- Trying to stop the genocide in Gaza, which is carried out through collective and practical activity to stop the aggressions and crimes of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people, especially in the field of keeping them hungry.

2- The immediate and direct entry of humanitarian aid and a request for the entry of food and medical aid and essential needs through the Rafah crossing.

3- Lifting the siege of Gaza and unconditionally opening a permanent and stable humanitarian crossing to enter and exit Gaza, and removing the obstacles that prevent the entry of basic goods such as food, clean water, fuel, and health aid.

4- Inciting the international community and exposing the crimes of the occupiers, which is carried out through the integration of civil society efforts from different countries and opposing the conspiracy of governments and protesting the international silence towards these crimes. This process will call on the parliaments of the respective countries and political elements to put pressure on the governments and will call on the public opinion of the international media to expose the crimes of the Zionist regime more than ever before.

5- Prosecution of those responsible for international aggression in Gaza by bringing to trial all those involved in the crimes against the Palestinian people and violations of international law. This coalition will call on international institutions and organizations to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities towards these crimes.

March Route

Given that the participants in this march come from many countries around the world, the organizers of this program have prepared routes for these people to reach the Rafah land crossing located on the Egyptian border.

Abu Kashk says in this regard that the participants will be divided into several groups based on their geographical location and distance, as well as different languages and cultures, and all of these groups will move towards Cairo from June 12.

Eduard Camacho, head of international relations for the city of Catalonia, says in this regard that the participants in this march will make this trip at their own expense and an effort will be made to provide them with minimal logistical support.

Abu Kashk adds that these groups will go to Cairo and then to the Arish region, and then the walk towards Gaza will begin.

He adds: We know the problems of walking in the desert; But the people of Gaza have been living in conditions where they have had no water, food, or medicine for 20 months now, and that is why it is easy for us to endure these problems in order to support them.

Abu Kashk considered the coalition’s field presence a tool to increase international pressure on the Zionist regime, and emphasized that the elements present in the coalition will sit-in at the crossing and demand the opening of the Rafah crossing and the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
