International organizations: Israel uses starvation as a weapon of war against Gaza civilians

PNN – International organizations and officials have pointed out that the Gaza Strip is in the middle of a real disaster and announced that Israel is using hunger as a weapon of war against civilians and that none of the areas in Gaza are safe from the bombings of this regime.

According to the International group of Pakistan News Network, International organizations called for an end to the collective punishment of the residents of Gaza and to stop the war crimes of the Zionist regime in this region, and warned of the human disaster that is currently taking place in the Gaza Strip under the shadow of the heavy siege and repeated bombardment by the occupiers.

There is no safe place in the Gaza Strip

Javina Shamdasani, the spokesperson of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, emphasized at the weekly conference of this commissioner at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva: Israel must end its attacks against the Gaza Strip as soon as possible, and the collective punishment of the residents of Gaza is a war crime. We are concerned about the collective punishment of the people of Gaza and the war crimes that are taking place in this area.

Great risk of starvation in Gaza

Meanwhile, “Philippe Lazzarini”, the Commissioner General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), stated that it is a necessity to get immediate and sufficient aid to the Gaza Strip in the current crisis situation: The risk of starvation threatens the people of Gaza, and the aid that has entered this area in the 3 phases so far has been very small and limited and does not bring any change in the critical situation of the people of Gaza.

He stated: The Gaza Strip is in the middle of a great disaster and the lack of fuel and needed aid threatens the spread of dangerous diseases in this region. So far, 57 UNRWA employees have lost their lives as a result of Israel’s bombing of the Gaza Strip, and we demand the protection of civilians and public facilities such as hospitals.

The International Committee of the Red Cross, in turn, called for the facilitation of stable and safe access to the aid needed in the Gaza Strip.

The World Health Organization has estimated that more than a thousand people are still under the rubble in the Gaza Strip, Oxfam reported, and the use of starvation as a weapon against the people of Gaza cannot be justified.

This organization emphasized: Israel uses hunger as a weapon of war against the civilians of Gaza. We reiterate that the rapid arrival of food, water and other necessities to the Gaza Strip is a necessity, and this area is in the middle of a major crisis.

Médecins Sans Frontières also issued a statement calling for absolute protection of all health centers and rescue and medical teams, as well as all civilians throughout the Gaza Strip.

Referring to the fact that the Zionist regime has targeted dozens of health centers in the West Bank, Doctors Without Borders warned about the collapse of the health care sector in the Gaza Strip as a result of the continuous bombardment by the occupiers and the lack of medical equipment and facilities.

Warning about the continuous closure of bakeries in Gaza

The World Food Program also warned about the risk of starvation in the Gaza Strip. The dire conditions faced by hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza are worsening due to severe fuel shortages that threaten to halt food and humanitarian operations.

The World Food Program pointed out that the Zionist regime repeatedly targets Gaza’s bakeries and emphasized: Currently, only the two bakeries that had a contract with us are standing and have some fuel to produce bread, but there is no guarantee of their continued activity due to running out of fuel and frequent bombings.
