PNN – A law firm based in the English capital has asked London police to investigate the possible complicity of Elbit Systems UK executives in crimes related to the Gaza Strip.
According to Anatoli Agency, the Public Interest Law Center (PILC), supported by the Campaign against the Arms Trade (CAAT), filed a detailed complaint with the Metropolitan Police Counter-Terrorism Command.
The complaint asks the police to open a criminal investigation into four current and former British executives of Elbit Systems UK on charges of possible complicity in war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Gaza.
According to the report, the complaint was filed on behalf of a Palestinian national living in the UK whose close family members are still present in Gaza.
The Public Interest Law Center said the client in the case, from Britain, has witnessed the destruction of his community in Gaza, and his relatives have been exposed to killings, displacement, and a widespread humanitarian crisis.
Elbit Systems UK is the British subsidiary of the Israeli arms company Elbit Systems, which operates in the field of development and production of defense and security systems.
This company operates in the UK in the fields of drone technologies, targeting systems, electro-optical equipment, military communications, and combat system upgrades, and collaborates with the British Ministry of Defense and some international partners.
Elbit Systems UK has several companies and manufacturing facilities in various parts of the UK. The company’s activities have faced criticism and protests from some human rights organizations and anti-armament groups in recent years due to its connection to the export of military equipment to Israel.
