, Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Badr Abdel Ati, Foreign Minister of Egypt, met and exchanged views before the start of the OIC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Jeddah.

During the meeting, the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Egypt discussed the latest bilateral, regional and international developments, especially the humanitarian crisis in Gaza due to the continued cruel siege of the Strip and the Zionist regime’s aggressive plans to intensify attacks and completely occupy the Gaza Strip, and emphasized the need for immediate and effective action by Islamic countries to stop the genocide and facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into the region.

In this meeting, our country’s Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of utilizing the cooperation capacities of Islamic countries to confront the hostile actions of the Zionist regime, adding: “Solidarity and unity among Muslim countries against common threats, especially the expansionist policies of the Israeli regime, are of particular importance, and we must use all capacities to strengthen cooperation and effectively confront this genocidal regime.”

The Iranian Foreign Minister also briefed his Egyptian counterpart on the latest developments related to the nuclear negotiations with three European countries.

The Iranian and Egyptian Foreign Ministers emphasized the need to continue consultations and consultations at the bilateral and multilateral levels, as well as in regional and international forums, to prevent the escalation of crises and maintain stability in the region.
