PNN – The Former Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan stated: Jaish-ul-Adl is a terrorist group supported by the United States, which has targeted Iran. If a war occurs between two brotherly countries, the situation becomes tense.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan issued a statement and announced: Pakistan carried out a series of military attacks in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchistan province. The purpose of today’s action was to secure the security and national interests of Pakistan. The ministry also emphasized: We fully respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran. This is while earlier the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had targeted the headquarters of the terrorist group “Jaish al-Adl” in Pakistan.
In this regard, the reporter of Mehr News Agency conducted a conversation with “Shamshad Ahmad Khan”, the former secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, which you are reading in detail.
In your opinion, what is the level of relations between Pakistan and Iran?
Pakistan and Iran have deep relations and these relations are not on a normal level, there are no fundamental differences between these two countries, there are only some strategic issues, the only reason for which is the geopolitical position. Both countries are very important in the region. Iran has always helped Pakistan and both have supported each other.

Whenever we had a problem, Iran helped us; Iran supported us in the 1965 war, in 2002, when Indian forces reached the border of Pakistan, Iran supported us and we supported Iran in various situations, and this is a sign of the depth of relations between these two countries.
Do you think there is a third party involved in the current tensions?
There is currently a caretaker government in Pakistan and it has been attacked by Iran, so the question is, why did this happen? I spent eight years in Iran and served diplomatically for Pakistan for 40 years. My diplomatic activity started in Iran, I went to Iran in 1965 and at that time I was writing the minutes of meetings between the Shah of Iran and the President. They complained about each other in meetings and had problems in their relationships. But in the current situation, the problems that have arisen under the pressure of America and Israel have been done.
What do you think is the solution to this crisis?
Terrorist groups that operate in Iran are supported by foreign powers. Both countries know which group is supported by which foreign power. Jaish al-Adl is supported by the United States, which has carried out numerous operations in Iran. Because of Iran’s support for Palestine, America targets Iran and uses its seals such as Jaish al-Adl for that.
When Iran attacked this group, it should have resolved this crisis with diplomatic relations because such incidents happen, even when the Taliban was trying to control the region, such incidents happened every day. Even when a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was killed (martyred) in Afghanistan, Pakistan was accused, but we resolved this issue through dialogue.
