Iran visas are free for Pakistani pilgrims ahead of Arbaeen.
Pilgrimage visas for Pakistani pilgrims will be issued free of charge by the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad and the four consulates general of our country in Pakistan.
In this regard, Hesam Khatami, Consul of the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad, told IRNA that the Iranian Embassy and political missions in Pakistan, under the good tradition and friendship with the eastern neighboring country, have decided to issue free pilgrimage visas for the dear pilgrims of Hazrat Sayyid al-Shuhada (peace be upon him), this year as well.
He added: Obtaining confirmation of the pilgrimage visa related to Arbaeen trips, having an Iraqi visa and providing buses for pilgrims’ land trips will be the conditions for issuing a free Iranian visa, and only a very small insurance fee will be charged from Pakistani pilgrims.
Also, there is no need to pay a fee to obtain confirmation of the Iranian pilgrimage visa.
The consul of the Iranian embassy stated that official and practical instructions regarding the movement of Arbaeen pilgrims from Pakistan in Iran and then to Iraq have been communicated by the embassy and consulates general of our country to activists and pilgrimage groups, and at the same time, the activities of the consular sections of Iranian political missions have also increased to facilitate Arbaeen trips as much as possible.
The free issuance of Iranian visas for Pakistani pilgrims will take place simultaneously with the holding of a trilateral meeting of the interior ministers of Iran, Pakistan, and Iraq in Tehran.
The meeting began today, hosted by Eskandar Momeni, Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the presence of his Pakistani and Iraqi counterparts at the Ministry of Interior.
