Iraq denied the presence of Bashar Assad’s brother in this country

PNN – Baghdad denied the presence of Maher Assad, the brother of former Syrian President Bashar Assad, in Iraq.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Brigadier General Moqdad Miri, the spokesman of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, told the official news agency of this country: The news published on social networks about the presence of Maher al-Assad, the brother of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, in Iraq is baseless.

The spokesman of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior asked the media to get accurate news from official sources and to be careful in publishing news.

The armed opposition in Syria started their operations in the northwestern, western and southwestern regions of Aleppo from November 27, 2024, with the aim of removing Bashar al-Assad from power, and finally, after eleven days, on Sunday, they announced the departure of Bashar al-Assad from the country by controlling the city of Damascus.
