Iraq emphasizes cooperation with neighboring countries.
According to al-Mayadeen, the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani, emphasized in his speech at the United Nations: The Iraqi government has developed plans to create job opportunities and improve the provision of services in the country with the aim of improving the investment and economic situation. Our hand of cooperation is extended towards all neighboring countries with the aim of protecting the security and stability of the region and its economic progress and prosperity.
Al-Sudani stated: The development project that the Iraqi government oversees is the newest project in the region and includes a channel that connects several vital parts of the world to the region.
He emphasized: We ask friendly countries to extend their help and help to Iraq to fight corruption and return the looted property of this country. The time has come for Iraq to take its natural place in the international community after fighting terrorism on behalf of the whole world.
Al-Sudani continued: Iraq is against interfering in its internal affairs under any pretext and everyone should respect the sovereignty of this country. We want to create a balanced foreign policy based on the convergence of views and the principle of mutual respect. Iraq adheres to international laws, especially towards neighboring countries, with the aim of protecting the security of the region. Iraq has the right to react to any violation of its sovereignty.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, he also said: Iraq supports the Palestinian issue and the rights of the Palestinian nation regarding the formation of its independent state centered on Jerusalem.
Al-Sudani emphasized Syria: the pains and sufferings of the Syrian people must be removed and the rule of this country’s system should be expanded and extended over the entire territory of Syria.
He stated: We want to create a group with the presence of the Persian Gulf countries from Iraq to Iran and the member countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council with the aim of managing the water issue. Our region, especially Iraq, is facing the issue of drought, and the cradle of civilization should not be allowed to perish due to lack of water. The unprecedented increase in temperature will also be disastrous for Iraq and the countries of the region.
Al-Sudani also said regarding the desecration of the Holy Quran: Burning the Holy Quran is a hateful crime that has targeted a quarter of the world’s population.
