Iraq reveals source of sound of warplanes on border with Iran

PNN – The Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced the origin of the sound of aircraft on the border with Iran, adding that the sounds were caused by the country’s air force maneuvers.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Baghdad Al-Youm news site, General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, the director of information for the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, said that the sounds heard in some provinces are related to Iraqi Air Force aircraft that are carrying out training missions within the framework of their periodic programs.

According to him, the Iraqi Air Force sometimes conducts training flights in several provinces to enhance combat readiness and ensure the ability of its units to carry out various field missions.

Previously, some media outlets had announced that the sound of several unidentified fighter jets had been heard in the Maysan province of Iraq and on the border with Iran.
