Iraq seeks to strengthen its air force in light of regional developments.

According to Al-Ma’uluma, Yasser Iskander, a member of the Iraqi Parliament’s Security and Defense Commission, announced that the country is seeking to strengthen its air force, and recent developments in the region have shown that this issue is very important for Iraq.

He continued, “Iraq has been trying to strengthen its air force and air defense for three years. The process of purchasing technical and radar equipment must be accelerated.”

Iskander referred to the violation of Iraqi airspace by the Zionist regime to attack Iran, saying that this issue showed our weakness in this regard.

He stated that Iraq must be able to protect its airspace and prevent its violation in the future.
