Iraq sends hundreds of thousands of tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza and Lebanon.
According to Waa, Ghassan Thuwaini, the director of public relations for the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, announced that this relief organization has branches in all Iraqi provinces and is cooperating with relevant parties to collect humanitarian aid and send it to Lebanon.
He added: Iraq is currently hosting 22,000 Lebanese citizens and is providing them with medical and psychiatric support due to the amount of damage they have suffered.
Thuwaini stated: So far, 750,000 tons of humanitarian aid have been sent to the oppressed people of Palestine in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent, and 15 tons of medical aid, along with food, have been sent to the oppressed people of Lebanon.
Previously, Iraqi media had reported the collection of humanitarian aid in various provinces of the country with the assistance of officials from the holy shrines of Karbala and Najaf Ashraf for the war victims in Gaza and Lebanon.
